1. our commitment to accessibility
We are actively committed to the barrier-free design of our website in accordance with the requirements of the Barrier-Free Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the underlying European standard EN 301 549.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use our website without restrictions. That is why we have already implemented various measures to increase accessibility and inform you about the current status here.
2. state of accessibility
The requirements for digital accessibility are based on the European standard EN 301 549, which refers to the internationally recognized Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 in conformity level AA.
Our website is partially barrier-free, as not all requirements are fully met.
Measures already implemented:
- We have integrated an accessibility widget that offers functions such as keyboard navigation, contrast and font size adjustment and improved screen reader support.
- We have ensured that the headings are correctly marked up in HTML as well as a sensible hierarchy (H1, H2, H3 etc.).
- We have added alternative texts for many (but not all) images.
- We have carried out tests with WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool) and manually corrected various errors in the HTML code.
- Our website is optimized for different end devices and screen sizes (responsive design).
Barriers that still exist:
- Various PDF documents on our website are currently not yet accessible.
- Alternative texts for images are sometimes not yet meaningful enough.
- We use third-party systems that are connected to our website via external links (voucher store, table reservation system, digital guest directory). These systems may contain barriers over which we have no control.
- We use a third-party tool for the automated translation of our website. WAVE shows two language switcher errors that we have no control over.
3. preparation of this declaration and assessment of accessibility
This declaration was created on June 26, 2025. The accessibility assessment was carried out by means of a self-test using automated tools such as WAVE. Central accessibility functions were also checked manually.
